DRAFT for review before publishing.

The service

VirtueQuest is a web-based family habit and chore board. By creating a family account you agree to these terms on behalf of your household.

Who may use it

Accounts may be created only by an adult parent or guardian. You are responsible for the people you add, the tasks you set and the way the board is used in your home.

Points, rewards and money

Points, rewards, cash-outs and savings shown on the board are a record of arrangements within your family. VirtueQuest does not hold, move or pay money, and nothing on the board is a financial product or obligation of ours. What a reward is worth and whether it is paid is entirely between you and your children.

The content

The virtue names used on the board follow the list published by The Virtues Project™. The definitions, scenes, affirmations and practice ideas shown in VirtueQuest are our own writing for families and are not endorsed by or affiliated with The Virtues Project. The research notes in the app summarise published studies and are general information, not professional parenting, psychological or medical advice.

Acceptable use

Use the board for your own household. Don't enter other people's personal information, don't attempt to access another family's board, and don't use the service for anything unlawful.

Availability and data

We aim to keep the service available but do not guarantee it. You can download a complete backup at any time from Grown-ups → Family account, and we recommend doing so monthly. We may change or discontinue the service with reasonable notice; your backup remains yours.

Price

[VirtueQuest is currently free. If we introduce a paid plan we will give notice and existing boards will continue to work.]

Liability

To the extent permitted by law, including the Australian Consumer Law guarantees that cannot be excluded, we are not liable for any loss arising from use of the board. Where liability cannot be excluded it is limited, at our option, to re-supplying the service.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia.
